Habeck besucht Baden-Württemberg

On his tour of Germany, Vice Chancellor and Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Action Robert Habeck will be visiting Baden-Württemberg for talks today after yesterday’s visit to Hesse.

Minister Habeck will be exchanging views with Minister-President Winfried Kretschmann and further members of the government of the Land of Baden-Württemberg and he will be attending the cabinet meeting. In addition to aspects of supply security, the focus of the talks will be on the removal of obstacles to the expansion of renewable energy and the expansion of electricity and hydrogen infrastructures. In the afternoon, Federal Minister Habeck will be visiting the Festo technology plant in Scharnhausen and the TransnetBW site in Wendlingen.

Federal Minister Robert Habeck said: "Baden-Württemberg is a significant economic and industrial hub with a great innovation potential and impressive creativity. It is very important to me to safeguard this potential with a view to forward-looking developments – especially regarding the green and digital transitions. Now, more than ever, we need to join forces to resolutely speed up the expansion of renewable energy and the energy transition."
